I'm Emily Wright! I'm an award winning production designer, writer, and director currently based in Denver, CO. I recently graduated from CCA (formerly the Colorado Film School) with a degree in Writing/Directing. My latest short film "All That Glitters" will be hitting film festivals this year, but you can learn more about it on this page!
As a Director and writer I love to work within the niche of feminist, stylistic horror. I love to challenge new viewpoints by merging horror, female driven stories, and intersting styles into films that are like nothing you've ever seen before. I always have a strong, cohesive vision that has room to be flexible with the real world impacts of production and budgeting.
I'm a versatile production Designer that can figure out anything and everything! Let me take your project to the next level! I've currently won an award for "Outstanding Achievement in Production Design" for my thesis film "All That Glitters" at the Spring 2025 CCA Student Showcase. My team also won the "Best Art Direction" award at the Spring 2023 Colorado Film School Student Show for my Short film "Vis." In addition I've production designed for 7 Short films, while helping on art department for countless more.

The bloodiest reality show on TV is back!
Three teenage girls seeking fame end up on reality tv's hottest snuff show, starring real serial killers!
My 2nd short film at Colorado Film School, this is a fun idea that was executed at a very amateur level, with almost all amateur cast and crew. It's fun to watch regardless, and is a really fun concept that could lend itself well to longer form content if executed better.

ALL THAT GLITTERS, was production designed by me, as well as Darielle Campbell, Ben Howard, and Art Directed by Connor Johnson
The production design for this film is built on the character's worldview, she belives everything is perfect so it is. Fresh flowers decorate her house, pink decor and vintage furniture are everywhere. Everything is perfect and everything sparkles. Even blood is a beautiful sparkly pink.
Towards the end her worldview crumbles, she is thrown back into a harsh reality. Her home is not as beautiful as it once was, the decor is broken, torn, there are no flowers, no live plants, less pink, less glitter. And the blood is a terrible striking red.
For this film we built three sets, a Roof set, by building a fake wall and hanging a backdrop in a studio. Elaine's house, which was a completely redecorated AirBNB that actually had two looks, one for the pink world and one for the blue world. And finally the TV stage set, which was just a backdrop in a studio.
We won the award for "Oustanding Achievement in Production Design" at the Spring 2025 Community College of Aurora Student Show.
